‘ Wild Atlantic Way Tour’ with Sharon Shannon, September 2022
I’m excited to share that for the first time ever I will be hosting a Wild Atlantic Tour this September. A 7 night tour around Clare, Sligo and Galway, September 17 – 24, 2022 tour.
Join me and a host of friends and experience traditional music at its best during an unforgettable musical journey along the Wild Atlantic Way. Meet some of the region’s best known musicians as they join us for dedicated intimate and informal sessions each evening. Enjoy private sessions in front of open fires in the comfort of Markree Castle.
The ‘Wild Atlantic Way Tour’ is a 7 night tour along the west coast of Ireland. The first 3 nights will be based in Ennis .. then it’s on to the magical Markree Castle in Sligo for 2 nights … and back to County Clare, the ‘Spiritual Home of Irish Trad Music’ during which we visit Ennis, Doolin and a host of other famous trad locations. Trips to the musical and cultural hotspots of Galway will also feature.
Enjoy the spectacular scenery the West Coast Of Ireland has to offer. Experience a warm Irish welcome in a luxury 4* hotels in Clare and our own Irish castle in Sligo.
Music on the Wild Atlantic Way
The Wild Atlantic Way is a tourism trail on the West Coast of Ireland. The stunning 2,500km of coastline offers breath taking scenery, invigorating sea swells, gastronomic gems and a warm welcoming atmosphere. The WAW is a haven for traditional Irish musicians. In every town, village and remote townland dotted along the Western Coast, there is a wealth of traditional Irish music sessions to be enjoyed. These sessions are informal and often impromptu, making the Wild Atlantic Way a little piece of music heaven.
Unlocked Tour, Germany, May 2022 
Really looking forward to finally get to do this tour of Germany. Originally scheduled for 2020 and so 2 years later, it has come around.

On 4th Feb 2022 Sharon Shannon releases her brand-new EP ‘Unlocked Series 1 – Inspiration’.
The Unlocked Series was recorded during lockdown in 2021. Sharon had an opportunity to put the Big Band together for a few streaming shows and so decided to record the music.
The UNLOCKED series acknowledges that the world is about come out of lockdown from Covid-19.
Series 1 INSPIRATION, takes some of the music inspired by the enforced lockdown and recorded for her 2020 lockdown album ‘The Reckoning’.

Unlocked, written by Sharon and Justin Adams, is put together with a piece written by Scottish piper Fred Morrison and learned from Mike McGoldrick. It appeared on her ‘Tunes’ album back in 2005.
Merry Go Round, written by Sharon and Donal Lunny, was the theme tune for Sharon’s acclaimed TV series ‘Heartlands’ on TG4 in 2021.
Daddy Shannon’s Jig, written for The Reckoning, is coupled with The Bealacana Polka, which originally appeared on her ‘Live at De Barras’ album. Bealacana is the place Sharon was born. These are put together to celebrate Sharon’s father IJ, who passed away just before Xmas 2021.

Excited to share that all the UK dates are confirmed to go ahead next month. Looking forward to getting back on the road, seeing old friends and new. The UK tours are always a highlight in the calendar for us and this one will be no different.
Joined by Jack Maher and Jim Murray, we will begin the tour in Cambridge on February 2nd.
